My buddy at the game store said I was "sleeving wrong" and I still think about it

I was at Game Haven last Saturday sleeving up my new copy of Ark Nova when this guy Joel, a regular there, just watched me for a minute. He finally said "you know you're pushing all the air out wrong, right?" and showed me how to do a little squeeze from the bottom corner instead of the top. It sounds dumb but it actually made the deck shuffle way smoother and now I can't go back. Has anyone else had some random person at a store totally change how you do something small like that?

Standard gripping technique, bottom corner bleed every time.

Ugh seriously? @andrew_wood72 you're just accepting a bleed in the bottom corner like it's no big deal? I'd be losing my mind over that, especially if it's on some nice thick paper where the ink just pools. Sometimes I wonder if people even care about clean lines anymore, or if they just accept whatever the paper gives them.
