Game store demo table etiquette was wild at the mall yesterday
I stopped by the Game Haven in Tulsa during lunch and watched a grown man try to negotiate a trade with the store clerk over a half-played game of Gloomhaven, asking for a discount because someone else's spilled soda ruined his character sheet, has anyone else seen people treat demo copies like their own property?

How is the guy the bad one here when the store put out a beat up demo copy in the first place? If a store leaves a game on a table for people to use, stuff is gonna get spilled on it, that's just what happens. I've seen demo tables at cons where half the pieces are missing and the box is held together with tape, and nobody freaks out because everyone knows demo stuff takes a beating. The clerk should've just pointed at the sign or said no. Acting like some random dude owes full price for a wrecked display copy is silly.
