Appreciation post: the Tuesday my game group taught me to lose with a smile
Last Tuesday at our local library in Ann Arbor, I brought Splendor to game night and got crushed 15 to 4 by a 12 year old named Marcus who had never played before. He figured out the gem engine in about 10 minutes while I was still counting chips like a fool. I used to get annoyed when I lost, but watching him grin and high five his mom made me realize the best part of this hobby is not the winning. What is the best loss you have ever taken at a game table?
