Stopped printing flyers door to door, now I just tie balloons to the stop sign
For our first two summer parties I walked around with a stack of 200 paper invites and stuffed them in mail slots, and maybe 15 people showed up. Last June my neighbor Deb said why not just tie a bunch of balloons to the stop sign at the corner with the date and time written on a poster board. I felt dumb for not thinking of it sooner because the balloons are impossible to miss when you drive home from work. We did it for our July 13th cookout and 40 people came, plus three families who don't even live on our street. Does anyone have a backup for windy afternoons when the poster board keeps flipping over?
