Rain plan overrated? My block party was better in the drizzle
Everyone on here talks about having a solid rain plan, but last June at our cul-de-sac in Maplewood, the forecast said 60% chance and I said forget the backup tent. We just pushed the grill under a carport, moved the potluck to the garage, and honestly the kids had more fun splashing in puddles during the egg toss. It rained about 20 minutes total, and the only thing that got ruined was the bouncy castle rental, which cost us $150 anyway. Has anyone else ditched the full rain backup and just embraced the weather, or am I the only one who thinks the backup plan kills the vibe?
