Phone in the freezer really does work, despite what the podcast said

I heard some productivity guru on a podcast last week say freezing your phone is a gimmick and just creates forgetfulness. Tried it anyway during a 3 hour study block for my stats final, and honestly, forgetting where I put it for 90 minutes was exactly the point. Has anyone else found that the inconvenience of retrieving it is what actually keeps you off it?

Always figured it was just some weird flex, but the hassle of walking to the freezer and waiting for it to thaw is real. That extra 60 seconds of cold air is enough to make you think twice. Kind of sold on the method now, not gonna lie.
