I thought putting my phone in a timed lockbox was overkill until I missed a deadline by 4 hours last Tuesday
Always figured those $30 kitchen safes were just for people with zero willpower, but I caved and grabbed one off Amazon after that mess. Has anyone else found a physical blocker works better than app timers for doomscrolling?

Man, that's rough. A buddy of mine had a similar thing happen with his freelance work. He bought one of those cheap kitchen safes and set the timer for his phone so he couldn't get to it during work hours. He said it was the only thing that actually stopped him from picking it up and checking social media every few minutes. Now he just tosses it in there when he needs to focus.
