I spent $30 on a dumb app timer and it actually worked

Figured I'd try one of those paid focus apps after years of just yelling at myself to get off my phone. The $30 Cold Turkey blocker saved me like 10 hours of scrolling last week. Anyone else find that spending money makes you actually use the thing?

Man, @sanchez.mary, you hit the nail on the head with that one. I had the same reaction when I saw that price. I just use the stopwatch on my phone for free and it gets the job done. Honestly, the most I ever paid for an app was like five bucks for a good calculator, and that was a stretch. Thirty dollars for a timer feels like they're hoping nobody checks for a cheaper option.
