Said yes to a setup at my cousin's wedding, now I can't decide if I owe her an apology or a thank you
My cousin set me up with her husband's coworker at their wedding back in June. Two days before, she gave me a choice: go with the guy she swore was "the nice quiet one" or the other guy who she said was "a lot of fun but a wild card." I picked the quiet one because I figured a wedding was already a lot of noise and I did not need more. Big mistake. The guy barely said 12 words to me all night. He just stood by the bar and watched the dance floor like it was a nature show. When I asked what he did for fun he said "not much" and then went quiet for like a full minute. I ended up hanging out with the wild card guy's group by 10pm and had way more fun. Now my cousin keeps asking how it went and I don't know what to tell her. Do I be honest about the whole thing or just say it was fine and let it go?
