My matchmaker set me up with 4 guys in 8 months, and the first one vs the last one looked like two different people
So I used one of those paid matchmaking services here in Denver, and the difference between my first blind date in January and my fourth one in August was honestly wild. The first guy showed up 20 minutes late with no warning, barely asked me anything, and talked about his ex for half the dinner. By the last setup, the matchmaker had clearly started listening to my feedback, because that guy showed up on time, asked real questions, and even texted a nice follow up the next morning. I think it helped that I stopped saying 'I'm easy, set me up with anyone' and started giving specific notes about what went wrong each time. Not saying the service fixed everything, but going from a date I wanted to escape to one I actually wanted a second one with really changed my mind about speaking up. Has anyone else done a matchmaking thing and noticed the setups get way better once you get picky?
