Visited my folks' house and their hallway wall is the same blank beige it was in 1998
Went back to my parents' place in Cleveland last weekend to help move a couch. Walked down the hallway and that big wall above the radiator is still completely empty. Same paint, same 26 feet of nothing. I remember staring at it as a kid wondering why they never hung anything. My mom said they 'never found the right piece.' 27 years and they never found it. Made me wonder if some walls just stay blank on purpose, like they become part of the house's personality. Has anyone else inherited a wall like that from family, where you almost feel weird suggesting something go up?

Blank walls are underrated. Sometimes empty space is exactly what makes a house feel calm instead of cluttered.
