Tried a giant mirror on my living room wall and it made the room feel cramped

I hung a 4x6 foot mirror on the longest wall in my living room thinking itd open the space up but it actually made the whole room feel super small and cluttered instead. Turns out the reflection just bounced back the couch and tv in a way that doubled the visual noise. Anyone else have a mirror backfire on them like that?

Nah, I think a big mirror just needs a cluttered wall to bounce. You might try angling it differently.
