That $5 goodwill frame turned out to be the best thing on my wall
I grabbed this old wooden frame from a thrift store in Austin for 5 bucks, painted it matte black, and hung it empty on my living room wall just to see how it looked. Figured I'd eventually put a print or something in it, but honestly, I've left it blank for 3 months now and it gets more compliments than any actual art I've ever hung. Has anyone else just embraced the empty frame look as a weird minimalist art piece?
