Spent 3 weeks staring at my living room wall and now I can't even pick a color
So last month my girlfriend and I finally painted over the ugly beige that came with our place in Portland, and now that the wall is clean I just freeze every time I look at it. I grabbed like 14 paint swatches from the hardware store on a Tuesday, taped them up, and then took them all down two days later because they all looked wrong. I even tried hanging a cheap poster to test the size, but it felt like I was cheating. The thing is the wall is 11 feet long and has this weird outlet smack in the middle, so anything centered looks off. I keep opening Pinterest at 1am and closing it with no plan. My buddy said just do a gallery wall, but I don't own enough frames to fill it and buying art feels expensive. Has anyone dealt with an outlet ruining the middle of a long wall, and how did you work around it?
