My hallway wall has been blank for 8 months now

I moved into my apartment back in February and the big wall in my hallway is still completely empty. Every time I walk by it I feel like something should be there but I can't decide what. I thought about a big mirror or maybe a painting but nothing feels right. Has anyone else dealt with choosing something for a narrow hallway space? What ended up working for you?

Did you ever think about those old school wall sconces that hold a plant or something? I spent like 3 hours staring at mine last month and ended up hanging up a cheap skateboard deck my buddy gave me. That blank wall energy is weirdly paralyzing, you almost have to just throw something up and see if it sticks.
