Gallery wall gone wrong at 11 PM, still picking up glass shards

Tried to hang 9 frames on the stairwell wall in my Portland apartment last night. The top shelf anchor ripped clean out of the drywall around the third frame, whole thing came crashing down onto the steps. Broke two frames and cracked the plaster pretty bad. I patched the hole with spackle and rehung just 4 frames lower and tighter together. Honestly looks better now than my original plan, but my cat keeps stepping on a tiny piece of glass I missed. Anyone else had a wall setup fail that actually ended up looking cooler after the repair?
