Was dead set against using power hammers until I saw one at a demo in Springfield

I always thought power hammers were just for production shops and took all the feel out of forging. Then I watched a guy named Dave run one at the state fairgrounds last fall. He was drawing out a 1 inch square bar into a leaf spring in maybe 4 heats. The control he had was crazy. I spent 20 minutes asking him about it after. He said he still does all his finish work by hand but uses the hammer for the heavy stuff. So I guess I was wrong about them. Anyone else change their mind about certain equipment after seeing it in person?

Man that's exactly what happened with me and belt grinders, saw one smooth out a blade in seconds and changed my whole outlook.
