Spent 6 months fighting forge scale buildup until a guy in Ohio mentioned vinegar soak after sunday demo

I was grinding scale off every project for way too long. Tried his trick of a 50/50 vinegar soak overnight for 3 days and it just wiped off with a wire brush - how many of you are doing something simple I'm still missing?

Hate to say it but you just stumbled onto the biggest secret in life - the simplest fix is usually sitting right there the whole time. Most folks overcomplicate stuff because they think a cheap household trick can't possibly work as well as some expensive chemical or tool. Once you start looking for basic, low effort solutions first you'll save yourself months of headscratching and grinding.
