Spent $150 on a fancy forge blower and it barely moved air
I thought I was upgrading from my old hand crank blower to something serious. Picked up this electric unit from a guy at a meet in Ohio, looked solid and the price seemed fair. Got it home, hooked it up, and it just hums without pushing enough air to keep my coals hot. Now I'm back to cranking by hand while I try to rebuild the motor myself. Anyone else get burned on a used blower that looked better than it worked?

That 150 dollar blower deal sounds exactly like the 80 pound "bargain" I hauled home from a swap meet last spring.

Ended up selling mine for scrap after it sat in the garage three years.
