Tried something similar at a local clinic and it cleaned up my swing instantly.

My buddy @matthew703 hit the same exact snag in his backswing last season. He sent me a clip and I told him to try keeping his lead arm straighter through the takeaway. That one tweak fixed his slice in about two rounds of practice.
