Old timer's grinder advice finally clicked for me
Been fighting with warped leaf springs for a year down in Austin, and a retired farrier told me to quench my forge welds in warm oil instead of cold water. Switched it up last Tuesday and my last three spring leaves came out dead flat, no twist at all. Anyone else got a tip that took forever to actually sink in?

Keep the oil at blood temp, cold oil shocks the metal just as bad as water.
