Finally got my forge back up after picking a new blower
My old hand crank blower gave out, so I had to choose between fixing it with parts from a 1920s catalog or just buying a new electric one. I went with the electric and it's been running smooth for a month now, heats up way faster. Anyone have a good source for those old hand crank gears in case I want to fix the old one as a backup?

So you're telling me you chose the 21st century over a 1920s catalog? Shocking. Good luck finding those gears, you might need a time machine.

Guess I'm just too used to hitting refresh and expecting two day shipping. The idea of mailing an order form and waiting six weeks for a mystery box of possibly rusted cogs sounds less charming now. My DIY project would be ancient history by the time the parts showed up. Maybe I'll just 3D print the gears instead, how's that for a time skip?
