Dropped $90 on a "forged" anvil at a flea market in Tulsa, turns out it's cast iron painted gray

The guy swore it rang like a bell, but it thuds flat and I already see a chip near the horn, so has anyone had any luck getting a refund out of a market seller or do I just eat it and use it as a doorstop?
