Why I stopped fast forwarding through the opening credits

I was watching Slow Horses on Apple TV last month and kept skipping the intro every time. Then my buddy sat me down and made me actually watch it. He pointed out how the credits change each season with the grimy London shots and the music grows on you. Now I let it play every time and honestly it sets the mood way better. Anyone else have a show intro they used to skip but now love?

The music really does set the tone for the whole episode.

Does the composer actually study the script to match the instruments to specific character emotions or is it more of a vibe thing? I caught that detail in a bts special once where they showed how certain string sections only show up for specific character conflicts in this show. That level of planning is wild when you think about it.
