Unpopular opinion: that 8 season drama everyone calls a masterpiece is 3 seasons of story dragged out forever
I finally gave in and watched it last winter because coworkers in Austin would not shut up about it, and I put in 47 hours over two months waiting for it to get good. That is almost a full work week of my life gone. Seasons one and two had something going, but by season five I was folding laundry during episodes and still following the plot fine. The last season could have been four episodes but they stretched it to ten, and the finale was 70 minutes of people staring at each other. I wish somebody had been honest with me instead of saying it was slow at first. What show did you all push through because of the hype and regret finishing?
