My wife said my show picks were 'emotionally flat' and it made me rethink everything
We were watching a thriller I picked, and she just paused it halfway through episode three. She looked at me and said, 'This is all plot, no heart. It's like eating plain crackers.' I felt a bit defensive, but she was totally right. The next night, I chose a drama with a strong family story, and we ended up watching five episodes straight. Has anyone else gotten a piece of viewing advice that completely flipped your taste?

It's just TV, right? Getting a new favorite show is cool, but calling it a "rethink everything" moment seems a bit much. My partner and I just agree to watch different things sometimes.
