My sister told me to watch a show with the sound off first
She said to just watch the first 10 minutes of 'Severance' with no dialogue, focusing on the sets and lighting. It completely changed how I saw the whole mood of the show, making the weirdness way more intense. Has anyone else tried watching a show like that before diving in?

Oh that's brilliant! I did that with the first season of True Detective and it made the creepy southern goth vibe hit so much harder.

Works best with shows that have a strong sense of place. The right soundtrack pulls you into that world before a single line is spoken. Just skip the intro theme to avoid spoilers.
