My buddy said to skip the first 4 episodes of Dark Matter on Apple TV. He was dead on.

He told me the show takes way too long to set things up and to just start at episode 5. I followed his advice and skipped ahead, then went back to watch those first ones after I finished. Honestly, the show clicked way better for me that way, no wasted time. Anyone else got a show that needs a skip order like that?

I used to be the type who insisted you have to watch every single episode from the start or you're missing out. But man, I binged the first season of Person of Interest and almost quit because it felt like a boring procedural. A friend begged me to jump to episode 6 where the bigger story kicks in, and it was a total game changer. Went back and watched the early ones later and realized they were just slow setup. It really changed how I think about shows that take forever to get going. What other shows have you found where skipping ahead works?

Six seasons of The Walking Dead before I realized you can just skip the mid-season filler episodes and still follow the plot. My brother told me to just read the season summaries online and jump to the premieres and finales. Tried it with season 7 and suddenly the show was watchable again. Makes me wonder how many other shows are like that, just coasting on a reputation they don't deserve.
