Keep seeing people say you gotta binge a whole season in one sitting
I tried doing that with The Bear season 2 and totally missed half the details because I was so burnt out by episode 6. Spreading it out over 4 nights let me actually catch the character arcs better. Anyone else find shorter sessions work better for dense shows?

Gotta disagree with you both on this one. I binged The Bear season 2 in one night and loved every second of it. The stress and chaos of the kitchen just built and built, and that's exactly what made it hit so hard for me. Spreading it out would have killed that momentum and made the emotional payoff feel less intense. Different strokes for different folks, I guess. Some shows are built for a marathon, not a slow crawl.

Hang on, The Bear season 2 didn't have an episode 6, it only had 10 episodes. I'm pretty sure episode 6 was the kid's birthday party one in season 1. But your point still stands, spreading out something like The Bear is the way to go. I did the same with Severance, watched an episode a night and caught way more little clues in the background than if I'd just blown through it all. Dense shows need space to breathe, otherwise you're just watching to finish.
