My buddy worked on a TV set once and said they burned through more money on craft services and lighting rigs in one day than most people make in a year.

Did your buddy ever say exactly how much of that craft services money was for the actual food vs just the labor to have a chef standing there all day making sure the snacks looked pretty? I've heard those catering contracts are insane, like they'll pay someone $200 an hour just to arrange a fruit platter nobody touches. And the lighting rigs, man, that part I get because I've seen rental rates for grip trucks and that stuff is bonkers even for a small shoot. But the craft services number always seemed like the part they exaggerate to sound cool, you know? I guess I'm just curious how much was real numbers and how much was just his buddy talking up the gig.
