I finally hit 50 shows this year and it messed with my head

I keep a list of every series I finish and last night I hit 50 for 2024. That number just felt huge because I didn't think I watched that much. It started back in January when I was sick for a week and burned through 3 seasons of one show. Then I just kept going with shorter stuff like 6 episode seasons. Idk, 50 just made me stop and think about what I actually got out of all those hours. Has anyone else counted and been surprised at their total?

50 shows is a lot. I did the math on mine last year and hit 42, mostly from binging 8 to 10 episode anime seasons. The thing that got me was how many of those shows I barely remember now. Like I watched a whole season of some crime drama in one weekend and two weeks later I couldn't tell you the main character's name. It made me start skipping stuff that didn't grab me by episode 3.
