Hot take: The Bear is actually a comedy, not a drama

I binged all 8 episodes of season 1 in one sitting last Tuesday and I was genuinely laughing more than I expected. Between the chaotic kitchen fights and Richie's one-liners, I think people miss the humor because they're focused on the stress. Am I the only one who finds this show funnier than most actual sitcoms?

idk why but the stress kind of makes the humor hit harder for me too. like in season 2 when Richie keeps messing up the printer during service and Sydney just stares at him, that had me cracking up more than any joke on a sitcom. maybe it's just because the chaos feels so real and relatable if you've ever worked in a kitchen or a fast food place. people forget that dark comedy is still comedy, you know? it's not all pure drama just because the characters are yelling at each other.
