Hot take: That 9 episode series on the streaming platform was supposed to be a 5 season arc

I spent 18 hours over two nights binging what I thought was a complete story only to hit episode 9 and realize the creators got cancelled mid production, and now I'm stuck with a cliffhanger that will never be resolved.

Episode 3's pacing was the first red flag for me, they crammed like three seasons of worldbuilding into one scene. Always check if the showrunners got the full greenlight before you start binging, saves you the heartache.

Wait, is it really that deep though? I've seen way worse pacing in shows that turned out fine, and episode 3 is still super early to call it a red flag. Honestly, checking greenlights before binging sounds like way too much work for just watching TV, I just hit play and see what happens. Half the time those "red flags" don't even matter because the show gets better or you forget about it after a few episodes. Feels like people look for problems sometimes, you know?
