Got into a spat with my cousin over spoiling a key plot twist
We were both binge-watching 'Dark' and he accidentally let slip a major reveal. I was really upset because I love going in blind, but he said it's not a big deal since we're watching it together. I mean, idk, maybe it's just me but I think spoilers can ruin the whole vibe. What do you guys think? Is it fair to get mad over spoilers?

My brother spoiled the Red Wedding for me years ago. I made him wait a week before we watched the next episode together so I could process it on my own. Honestly, creating that bit of space helped me get back into the story without feeling so bitter.

Can we just talk about how this happens with everything now? Spoilers are just one tiny part of a bigger thing where people act like your interests are silly, whether it's a show, a game, or a hobby you really care about. It's that casual dismissal that gets me, like your excitement over a story doesn't matter. Your cousin saying it's 'not a big deal' totally misses the point, because it WAS a big deal TO YOU. That vibe is everything, and when it's gone, you can't get it back.

Yeah, the "your excitement doesn't matter" thing is so real. My friend saved up for months for this collector's edition game, and her brother just casually said the big twist before she could play it. The whole magic was just gone.
