Dropped $80 on a streaming stick and it actually fixed my constant buffering issues

I was getting so fed up with my smart TV's built-in apps crashing mid-episode. Finally broke down and bought a Roku stick for like 80 bucks last week. Set it up in 5 minutes and now I can binge three episodes of that new crime doc without a single freeze. It's wild that a cheap little stick outperforms the whole TV. Anyone else have a similar fix for their streaming setup?

Yeah, wait, did you check if your TV has a gigabit ethernet port? I know that sounds random but my old Samsung would buffer like crazy on wifi no matter what I did. I finally just plugged a cheap little ethernet adapter into the USB port and it worked way better than any streaming stick I tried. But honestly, for $80 that Roku is a steal, the interface alone is worth it because those built in TV OS's are trash after a year. I had a Fire Stick for a while and it did the same thing, just plug in and forget it.

Oh man, same here. Hardwiring my Apple TV fixed everything instantly.
