Decided between The Americans and The Wire for my next rewatch

I had a long weekend coming up and finally had to pick between rewatching The Americans or The Wire from season 1. I went with The Americans because I remembered the cold war tension being so tight and the character work is incredible. After 5 episodes I'm hooked again but part of me wonders if The Wire would have been a better choice since it's more grounded. Has anyone else had trouble picking between two top tier shows like this?

Which one did you actually end up picking? The Wire is the better show hands down.
