That driver who screamed at me from his SUV on 5th Street

I was biking home last Tuesday evening on the 5th Street bike lane when a guy in a black Ford Explorer honked and yelled 'get on the sidewalk!' out his window. He was stopped at a red light (which I was legally passing on the right), and he kept revving his engine like he wanted to run me over. Has anyone else had a driver yell something totally ridiculous at them even when you're clearly following the rules?

5th and Main is where I see the worst bike lane drama, and I ride that route every day. Look, the guy was a jerk for yelling but lets be real, you passed him on the right at a red light which some drivers take as rude even if its legal. Ive had plenty of honks and shouts in my truck from bikers cutting me off, so maybe we all need to take a breath and stop acting like every little thing is attempted murder.

Had a buddy who used to ride through that same intersection and told me about a driver who leaned on the horn for a full block because he took the lane to avoid a pothole. So I get where you're coming from, @skylerw87, there's plenty of bad behavior on both sides. We all just need to chill and remember it's not a war zone out here.
