Separated lane or sharrow, which do drivers respect less on Broadway?
After riding Broadway in Austin last Tuesday, a delivery van parked right in the painted bike lane forcing me into traffic, but two blocks later the sharrow section felt almost safer because cars expect you there. Is a protected barrier worth fighting for if it still gets blocked daily, or do we just need better enforcement on the lanes we already got? Anyone else notice this trade-off in their city?
