Tried one of those frame-mounted phone holders and my phone vibrated loose after 3 miles on the pothole road to work

I thought it would be fine since the clamp looked tight, but it slipped off somewhere between 5th and Main and now I'm back to just using my backpack pocket for navigation. Has anyone found a holder that actually stays put on rough pavement?

That's a real bummer, hate when something you thought was solid lets you down like that. I've had the same trouble with the cheap clamp-style holders on my bike. A good rubber mount with a twist-lock mechanism has been the only thing that's worked for me on rough roads.
