Some guy at the shop said sweat is just a shower problem, and now I can't stop thinking about it
I was waiting for my coffee at the place on 5th last Tuesday and this older guy in full kit told me he quit worrying about sweat years ago because he just showers at the gym two blocks from his office. Dude said he pays $22 a month for a locker and towel service there, which is way less than I figured. I've been doing the whole baby wipes in the bathroom stall thing for like 8 months now and honestly it's always been a half fix. Maybe the real hack isn't gear or route planning at all, it's just finding a cheap gym near work. Has anyone else gone the gym membership route instead of trying to not sweat in the first place?
Man this hits home because I did the exact same wipe dance in the stall for almost a year and it never really worked. The thing nobody tells you is that wiping down just moves the problem around, you're still sticky and your clothes are still gross by the time you sit down. I finally caved and joined a cheap gym by my office and it changed everything, thirty bucks a month and I get a real shower plus a place to stash a clean shirt. The best part is you stop stressing on the ride in, so you actually sweat less anyway because you're not tense about it. My only tip is check the hours before you sign up because the one I picked first closed at 6 and that was useless for me.
