PSA: That "waterproof" pannier bag I bought on Amazon leaked during my commute last Tuesday
It was supposed to be a 30 minute ride to work. Showed up with everything in my bag soaked. My laptop survived but my change of clothes did not. Had to spend the day in damp jeans. Anyone else found a pannier that actually holds up in a real downpour?

Damp jeans for a day is annoying but calling it a "real downpour" might be a stretch. Poured water over my bag at home and it beaded up fine, got caught in a drizzle on the way to the store and yeah it soaked through. These companies know people rarely test the limits so they slap a label on it. You paid like 30 bucks for some no name brand off Amazon what did you really expect. Dry bag or a plastic liner inside going forward and you'll be fine until you find something that actually works.
