My wife dared me to ride in the rain for a week straight and now I owe her an apology
I always skipped rainy days and drove to work because I figured I would show up soaked and gross. Last Monday my wife bet me $20 I could not bike all 5 days in the rain, and I took it just to prove her wrong. I used a cheap rain jacket, a shower cap over my helmet, and rolled my work pants into my bag so they stayed dry. By Wednesday I figured out the trick was going slow and leaving 10 minutes early so I did not sweat under the jacket. Friday I walked in dry and my coworker asked if I even rode that day. Now I am down $20 and thinking about a fender, so what do you all use to keep your shoes from getting soaked?
