My backpack setup was ruining my ride for months...

I kept showing up with a sweaty back until I noticed my pack sat too high on my shoulders. A small mesh spacer between the bag and my back dropped my temp by 10 degrees on the way in. Anyone else deal with a sweaty back and figure out a fix?

Respectfully, I gotta disagree on this one. A sweaty back isn't just inevitable, it's a sign your pack isn't working for your body. I switched from a flush fitting bag to one with a trampoline style mesh panel and it was night and day difference. My back stays dry even on hot summer rides now, not just "less sweaty" but actually dry. The air gap lets heat escape instead of getting trapped against your skin and baking you. If you haven't tried a pack with a proper ventilated back panel, you're missing out on a real fix, not just a bandaid.

My 2017 Osprey pack sits pretty flush against my back and honestly I never really noticed it being a huge issue. Maybe it's just me but I feel like a sweaty back after riding is kind of inevitable regardless of the bag setup, like your body is gonna heat up regardless. I mean unless you're riding in sub 50 degree weather you're probably gonna sweat somewhere.
