Lady on the bus told me to shower before I bike and I actually listened

I was sitting on the bus last week and this older woman leaned over and said 'you really should shower first so your sweat doesn't stick to you all day.' Tried it out the next morning and wow, my shirt actually stayed dry for the whole 3 mile ride to work. Anyone else heard weird commuter advice from strangers that actually works?
