Just hit 100 commutes without driving and the weirdest part is what my sweat count looks like now
So I finally counted it up last Friday and I've biked to work 100 times since I started tracking back in March. The thing that got me is I only had to change my shirt 11 times out of those 100 rides. When I first started this whole thing I figured I'd be a sweaty mess every single day, and I even bought a second pannier just for spare clothes. Turns out the trick for me was slowing way down on the two big hills on my route, like embarrassingly slow, granny gear slow. The other piece was leaving 15 minutes earlier so I'm not racing the clock, because for me the stress and the sweat are the same thing honestly. My ride is 4.2 miles each way and it takes me 22 minutes at my slow pace, versus 18 when I push it, and those 4 minutes are not worth showing up looking like I just ran a 5k. Now I want to know what pace you all ride at, do you just accept the sweat and wipe down in the bathroom or do you slow down too?
