Hit 500 miles commuting this morning on my way into the office

I've been riding to work since March and this morning my bike computer clicked over to 500 miles. That's about 10 miles each way through Pittsburgh traffic. I started doing it just to save gas but I noticed I'm not showing up sweaty anymore since I learned to pack a change of clothes in a pannier instead of a backpack. Shaving off that back sweat made a huge difference. Anyone else track their mileage and notice a tipping point where it just got easier?

Yeah, the "packing a change of clothes" thing you mentioned really clicked for me too. I used to think panniers were just for people who wanted to look extra cycling nerdy, but after carrying a sweaty backpack for two weeks I caved and got some. Now I don't dread the ride home as much because my back stays dry. The 500 mile mark is cool, but honestly it was around 200-300 for me where I stopped feeling like the ride was a chore and started actually looking forward to it. Funny how a small gear change makes that big of a difference.
