A guy at the bike co-op in Portland swore by wool, and now I'm eating my words at 80 degrees
Last month a mechanic at the co-op in Portland said to skip the synthetic jersey and just wear a merino base layer under my work shirt, claiming I'd stay dry even on warm rides. I tried it on my 6 mile commute for two weeks and he was dead right, my back stayed dry while my old polyester jersey always left me soaked. So what are you all wearing on the 75 degree plus mornings, because I'm not sure wool is the whole answer once it gets really hot?
