That Monday where I snapped 3 spokes in 45 minutes

Had a guy roll in with a beaten up touring bike, I got the wheel true and sent him out, then he was back 20 minutes later with three broken spokes on the same wheel. Anyone else get those days where a single bike just fights you no matter what you do?

Honestly that's just bad luck on the rim or the spokes themselves. Ngl sometimes a wheel is cursed and no amount of truing fixes the underlying issue. Tbh you probably should've swapped the whole rim instead of just fixing it.

You know what @felix98, I used to think you could fix almost any wheel if you just had the patience. Like I'd spend hours messing with spokes convincing myself a hop was getting smaller, but you're totally right about those "cursed" rims. Had a rear wheel on my old commuter that I trued like four times and it would just ping out of shape after one pothole. Finally swapped the whole rim and it's been solid for years, should've done that from the start honestly.
