Lube charts at the shop showed me how much road grit a dry chain picks up versus a wet one

Ran a test with a cheap microscope on frames from a group ride in Tucson and the dry chain bikes had about 40% less sand stuck to the drivetrain after 20 miles, has anyone else switched lubes based on local trail conditions?

Did you see that article from a gravel racer who said dry lube actually attracts more dust after the first few miles once the solvent evaporates?

Wonder how much of that is just the wet lube leaving a sticky base layer that grabs everything anyway. Maybe dry lubes aren't solving the problem they claim to.
