Just realized a good truing stand is worth the money after 12 years

I spent a decade using the fork of a frame to true wheels. Thought the people dropping $200 on a Park Tool stand were just showing off. Then a buddy let me borrow his TS-4.6 last month when I was building up a set of gravel wheels. The difference in accuracy and speed is huge. Any other holdouts finally cave on something like this?

My old method was using the fork and a zip tie as a pointer. Thought I was a genius until I spent 20 minutes trying to get a wheel straight and it still wobbled like I was riding through peanut butter. Then the zip tie snapped mid truing and smacked me right in the face. That was the moment I realized maybe my pride was the only thing keeping me from buying a real stand. Now I feel silly for waiting so long.

My $20 fork stand worked fine for 8 years before a zip tie ever hit me.
